About

At Parampara, we are on a mission to revive and celebrate the timeless beauty of Kunbi handloom sarees and fabrics of Goa. Our vision is twofold:
To make Kunbi sarees a sought-after garment among fashion enthusiasts around the world.
To generate sustainable employment for Goa’s tribal and local communities, empowering artisans while preserving our cultural heritage.
Why Kunbi Fabric?
Kunbi fabric is one of the oldest and most authentic symbols of Goa’s weaving heritage. With the arrival of the Portuguese, this indigenous attire slowly lost its prominence. Today, it is our responsibility to revive this traditional fabric and restore the identity of the original Kunbi tribe of Goa.
By promoting Kunbi, we are not just preserving a cultural symbol—we are also encouraging the use of eco-friendly, skin-friendly, and sustainable fabrics that blend seamlessly with modern lifestyles.

Our Journey
Handloom weaving is India’s second-largest employment-generating sector. Despite the demand, Kunbi sarees are produced in limited numbers due to the decline in skilled craftsmanship. At Parampara, we are determined to nurture this art form, train artisans, and ensure that the Kunbi weave reaches both Indian and global markets
